Alpana Rai Arts offers free and insured shipping on all purchases made via Alpana Rai Arts website to anywhere in Australia.

If you live overseas we can still ship but please note there will be additional shipping costs applied at checkout (dependent on your location, and the work you are purchasing).

How long will the delivery take?

Once the order is placed, artist usually take 1-5 days to pack up the artwork and get it ready for shipping. Shipping times vary depending on your location, but can take anywhere from 1-10 working days.

Can I order now and request delivery on or after a certain date?

Depending on your delivery address, and depending on our couriers availability, this may be possible, but the best practice would be to get in touch with us before placing the order to check. Simply contact us here with the artwork title you are interested in, and preferred delivery date for us to check.

Do you ship artworks overseas (out of Australia)?

International Shipping

Alpana Rai Arts ships original artworks and fine art prints to customers worldwide. Please read the following carefully before placing an international order.

Large & Extra-Large Artworks (over 80 cm)

Original artworks exceeding 80 cm in any dimension are shipped rolled, unframed, and unstretched to ensure safe delivery during international transit. Each piece is carefully prepared and securely packaged using archival-quality materials to protect the work throughout its journey.

If you would like your artwork professionally stretched and framed upon arrival, we recommend engaging a local framer in your area. Please contact us before placing your order if you have any questions about packaging or sizing.

Customs, Duties & Import Taxes

International orders may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, and other fees levied by the destination country. These charges are the sole responsibility of the customer and are not included in the artwork price or shipping cost at checkout.

Alpana Rai Arts has no control over customs processing times or fees, and we are unable to predict what charges may apply. We recommend checking with your local customs authority before placing your order if you have concerns about potential import costs.

Please note that refusal to pay customs duties does not qualify as grounds for a return or refund, and return shipping costs in such cases will be the customer's responsibility.

Can I return an artwork?

Yes, absolutely.

We offer buyer protection, including free returns within 7 days of delivery. Just note the return shipping cost is covered by buyers.

We ask you to pack the artwork in its original packaging (if you've already thrown that away, you can repackage it securely yourself) and let us know when you'd like it picked up. We can organise a courier to pick it up from you.

Please keep in mind that couriers operate 9am-5pm, Mon-Fri, and we are only able to specify a day, rather than a time. Once we've booked in the couriers, we'll send shipping labels that will need to be printed and put on the package. If there are any older labels or barcodes, please remove them before putting the return labels to avoid any confusion. We will process your refund as soon as the artwork is delivered in the state it was received.

How can I track my order?

We understand that having visibility on your recently purchased work's location is super important, especially when in transit, to have peace of mind that the work is safely on its way to you. We will send you tracking details and a link to track your order.

What does Ready To Hang mean?

Ready To Hang

• In most cases, this refers to the artwork's canvas being stretched over a simple timber frame
• This style is often referred to as a 'stretched canvas'
• The artwork may not necessarily have a wire or hooks already attached, but these can be easily added
• Some people may prefer to leave their artwork simply stretched

Framed — Another variation of Ready To Hang

Framed artworks come framed in Tasmanian oak prior to arriving at your doorstep. Frame will include hanging fixtures (hooks and wires).

I want to buy an artwork that has already sold

So sorry you missed out! Not to worry — there are a few options. You can request a commission and Alpana would be happy to create something personal for you. You can also explore fine art prints of similar works, or browse the full original paintings collection to find something you love.
