My name is Alpana Rai, and I create abstract landscapes that are more like emotional maps than traditional scenes. Each painting is a love letter to the Australian land — not how it looks, but how it feels. It’s not about getting the trees or sky just right. It’s about capturing that moment when the wind holds a memory, or the horizon reminds you of someone you once loved.

I often say: as nature is not perfect, neither is my painting — and that's what makes it real.
