Finding My Way Home – Original Abstract Landscape Painting

Finding My Way Home explores the emotional journey of belonging—the winding, uncertain paths that gradually lead us towards a place we can call home.

A small house rests quietly among rolling hills, surrounded by layers of colour, movement and imagined pathways. Inspired by the Australian landscape and Alpana Rai’s personal experience of building a life away from where her journey began, the painting reflects how home is not always a single place. Sometimes, it is something we discover slowly through memory, courage, connection and hope.

The peaceful pink sky offers a sense of openness above the richly layered land, while flowing lines guide the eye through a landscape shaped as much by emotion as by nature. Bold yet tender, Finding My Way Home celebrates the beauty of continuing forward until somewhere—and something—begins to feel like home.
